The Deputy Chief of the “Brest” FEZ Administration Oleg Chwaljuk and Head of Department for foreign economic relations and economic development of the Brest FEZ A. Lachimov participated in Belarussian-Turkish Business Forum held on February 15, 2017 in Minsk.

During the plenary session the forum participants were addressed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov. The head of the Belarusian government highlighted that by the end of 2017 our countries have come close to the trade turnover of 1 billion dollars, which is just an intermediate result on the way to much more impressive figures. First of all, advanced forms of business cooperation, such as transition from regular trade in goods to mutual investment and industrial cooperation will contribute to it.

Representatives of the administration of the “Brest” FEZ participated in the session of the contact-cooperation exchange. They discussed with Turkish businessmen the prospects for economic cooperation in a number of areas, such as textile industry, production of medical equipment, metalworking and logistics.

About 300 people took part in the business forum including representatives of 70 leading Turkish companies and over 140 Belarusian enterprises.
